Franchise Advocacy

Wes Lutz.

2018 Chairman, NADA.

A Chrysler Dealer since 1976, Wes is president of Extreme Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, RAM Inc. in Jackson, Michigan. He is 2018 Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and represents Michigan’s franchised new-car Dealers on its board of directors, having been its President in 2012. He previously served on the NADA board from 2001 to 2004.

An active and conscientious believer in the power of community service, Wes has also spent time as a board member of the YMCA.

Amongst the many honours he has earned over his long and distinguished career is the prestigious Time Dealer of the Year Award winner for Michigan, 2009.

Naturally, Wes is a firm believer in the power and importance of Dealer advocacy. The NADA Chairman will outline NADA’s priorities for 2018, many of which strongly resonate in the Australian market. These include:

  • Continued reasonable/sensible federal government regulation
  • Data protection for consumer data – including data coming from the vehicle
  • Clear rules/guidance/laws related to self-driving vehicles
  • Sensible and attainable fuel economy standards.

AADA is thrilled to have the leader of the world’s largest Automotive Dealer Association at the 2018 AADA National Dealer Convention & Expo.

NADA is a powerful voice in the U.S. political conversation, and we have much to learn from our ‘big brother’ Association.

AADA urges all Dealers to make sure they attend and listen to one of the world’s most influential players in the retail Automotive Industry.
