Rob Cochran is the 2026 Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association and Chairman & CEO of #1 Cochran, one of the 50 largest automotive dealer groups in the United States.
A second-generation automotive retailer, Rob has led the family-owned business for more than three decades, guiding its growth from a single-point Pontiac store founded in 1965 into a diversified dealer group operating across western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
Today, #1 Cochran operates 35 dealerships representing 20 brands, along with 13 collision centres and a wholesale parts distribution business. The group employs more than 1,800 team members and is recognised for its focus on innovation, diversification and long-term growth.
As 2026 NADA Chairman, Rob represents one of the world’s most influential franchised dealer markets at a time of major industry change. He also represents western Pennsylvania’s franchised new car dealers on the NADA Board of Directors.
Beyond the dealership group, Rob is a Branch Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and serves on the boards of the Greater Pittsburgh Automobile Dealers Association, Rosedale Technical College and Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, among others.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Rob holds dual degrees in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Management. As a AADA 2026 Main Stage panellist, he brings a United States dealer perspective on global disruption, franchise markets, business resilience and the forces shaping automotive retail.
