Steven Cratchley is Motor Insights and Operations Manager at Suncorp Insurance, specialising in emerging risks and advanced automotive technologies.

With 21 years at Suncorp Insurance, Steven has held roles across pricing, strategy, innovation, underwriting and portfolio management. His work focuses on understanding how new technologies, changing vehicle design and emerging risks are reshaping the insurance landscape.

Globally connected across a range of emerging risk domains, Steven has presented at conferences in Australia and New Zealand, hosted roundtables in the US, EU and UK, and appeared on industry podcasts. He has also represented Suncorp Insurance in leadership positions on industry bodies and contributed to numerous research projects.

Through his input to Suncorp Insurance’s Emerging Risks Committee, Steven helps the business understand and respond to the evolving risks affecting motorists, insurers and the broader automotive industry.

As a AADA 2026 Workshop Series Presenter, Steven brings a practical insurance and risk perspective on the technologies, trends and operational realities shaping the future of automotive.
