The AADA has continues to work on behalf of franchised new car dealers to protect their investment in this $55billion industry that employs over 56,000 Australians. This session will include a deep dive into the franchise relationship and how this proven union between OEMs and dealers is being challenged.
The automotive industry has shown incredible resilience throughout the year, proving we’re adaptive and creative. It has forced us all to review the fundamentals, and to ask ourselves what will help set us up for success going forward. Two masters of industry tackle the year that has been, and what dealers can do going forward. Lee Peters from Deloitte looks at how the industry responded through the industry performance during 2020, the heart of resilience shown by dealerships, and what mattered most this year, and what will matter most going forward Ren Blanning from carsales will then discuss the essentials of retail success for the future of our businesses, including the metrics that matter, setting a daily routine, and buyer behaviour – do you understand the shift? This highly practical session will leave you with tools that you can use, insights that you can action, and a pathway forward towards a more customer-focused business.
In a profound shift for our industry, the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the transition to digital vehicle sales and heightened the importance of effective virtual showrooms. In this not-to-be-missed keynote research presentation on the behaviour of car buyers, Richard Dicello, Dealer Sales Director at Autotrader and Gumtree Cars, and Denis Hancock, VP Strategy at BrandSpark International, will share the results of an in-depth Digital Influence Study into new and used vehicle shoppers and recent vehicle purchasers.
AADA Chairman Terry Keating will deliver his 2020 Chairman Address and leads a highly respected ensemble of keynote speakers in this engaging and informative AADA Keynote session. Join NADA Chairman Rhett Ricart who will outline the immediate challenges that face our industry and how dealers must adapt to secure a prosperous future in a rapidly changing retail environment. Also Australian Senator David Van will discuss the franchise relationship and how both sides need “skin in the game”.
