The Hon. Julia Gillard AC Announced as Special Guest Speaker for Auto-IT Opening Breakfast at AADA 2025

Ms Gillard is a trailblazer in Australian politics, being the first woman to serve as Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. She led Australia from 2010 to 2013, steering the nation through the Global Financial Crisis and delivering transformative reforms in education, healthcare, aged care, disability services, and telecommunications, including the rollout of the National Broadband Network.

Her leadership also extended to the global stage, where she strengthened Australia’s key diplomatic ties and secured a seat on the United Nations Security Council. Ms Gillard has represented Australia at major international forums, including the G20, APEC, and the East Asia Summit.

Post-politics, Ms Gillard continues to lead internationally recognised organisations. She currently serves as Chair of Wellcome, a global charitable foundation supporting science to solve urgent health challenges, and as Chair of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at both King’s College London and the Australian National University.
